Turns out there was a little change in plans… Our flight to Sydney, Australia from Los Angeles, California was canceled and the next available flight wasn't until Friday.  Therefore, we had to find another flight since we leave Saturday January 19th to New Zealand for three weeks!

After a number of phone calls to almost every airline, we made a plan!  We would leave Los Angeles, California on Tuesday January 15th at 8:00AM (LA time) and arrive in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 15th at 11:30AM (Hawaiian time).  Spending the day in Hawaii doesn't sound too bad after all, right?!  

We were able to spend the entire day and night in the beautiful island of Hawaii! Wow, was it breath taking… from the crystal blue waters to the tall green mountains of the famous Waikiki Beach!  It was a warm sunny day and because of that we were able to take a refreshing swim, enjoy a pina colada, and relax with the sand between our toes.  My favorite part were the purple lei's we were welcomed with upon arriving into the island! I have to say this was an unexpected adventure, but an amazing start to our next chapter!

It is now Wednesday January 16th and we are in the airport of Honolulu, Hawaii.  Our flight leaves at 11:50AM (Hawaiian time).  Within the next 24 hours we will finally be on the other side of the world!  We arrive into Sydney, Australia on Thursday January 17th at 7:20PM (Australian time).  Once in Sydney… we are almost at our final destination as we then have to run to catch our next flight to Melbourne!

Stay tuned as our adventures have only begun!  Soon we should be in Australia, and then we will be leaving to New Zealand for three weeks on Saturday January 19th!
