HORSE BACK RIDING THE BEACH, AUSTRALIA

...

RIDING ON THE BEACH AND THROUGH AUSTRALIA'S FAMOUS DAINTREE RAINFOREST

...

G'day Mates,

Today we went horse back riding on the beach in Port Douglas and through Australia's famous Daintree Rainforest.

The Daintree Rainforest is a tropical rainforest on the north-east coast of Queensland, Australia, north of Cairns. It is the oldest surviving rainforest in the world (over 160 million years old)!

We set off for a scenic grassy headland on the way to the beautiful Wonga Beach and rode through the to the world's oldest rainforest!

Today was another check off the bucket list, Michelle's request!

We all enjoyed another beautiful day in paradise.  We are so blessed to be exploring and enjoying the world together... after a 26 plus hour flight, on the other side of the world from our hometown Miami, Florida.

One of the funniest parts of today was when we were all riding through the Daintree Rainforest. All of a sudden my mom screamed as a black snake slithered underneath her horse.  Anthony (waiting for this moment for months) informs her that the snake that just slithered past us was the WORLD'S most deadly snake (Inland Taipan).

{Fun Fact From Anthony: three months before we were in Queensland horse back riding one of these deadly snakes killed a power plant worker!}

Other than experiencing Australia's rainforest fully... we were most excited to TROT down  the beach with our horses!

"The trot is a two-beat diagonal gait of the horse where the diagonal pair of legs move forward at the same time with a moment of suspension between each beat."

In other words, our horses ran down the beach!!!

TODAY WAS BEAUTIFUL!

HORSE BACK RIDING THE BEACH WITH THE FAMILY!

Life Is Good,

Nicole

  1. What a fun experience for all !!! No! No! No your Mom's "encounter" with the world's most deadly snake!

You both were already experts in horseback riding -- one of your excursions in New Zealand --but I did not know the rest of the troop were skilled on that. They look very confident riding their horses.
I am sure that trotting slowly on a beach must be very enjoyable.

    Besitos,
    Baba
