Low Island is located in North Queensland, north-east of Port Douglas.
Low Island is part of Australia's Low Isles, a unique Great Barrier Reef Island with its combination of mangrove and coral cay.
A fun fact about Low Island is that between 1926 - 1929 Low Isles was the site of the first detailed scientific study of coral reef anywhere in the world.
Today was another fabulous day in paradise. We set out on a relaxing sail boat to the beautiful Low Island where we were able to explore the treasures of the hidden island, snorkel among the Great Barrier Reef and enjoy a glass-bottom boat ride around the island.
Close your eyes and imagine sailing across the turquoise blue waters of Australia. You are absorbing the warm sun and salty breeze, you are in paradise!
I hope you enjoy the pictures because we sure had an amazing time taking them. We had an awesome time on this island and loved singing "I come from the land down under..." on the sailboat with the live singer.
