BYE ASIA & HELLO EUROPE

Off To Greece, With A Lay Over In Russia!

Landing In Russia:

My New Russian Doll:

Good Morning From The Bangkok Airport

Indonesia and Thailand were simply incredible, from the culture to the people as you may have been able to absorb in previous blogs. We have found peace, happiness and love as our Guru once said.

That being said, we were up and ready at 4:00 AM to start our travels from Asia to Europe.  Today was a long day of travel, totaling 14 hours in the air.  We flew using Aeroflot (a Russian Airline).  The flight from Bangkok to Russia was 10 hours, with a three hour layover, and our flight from Russia to Greece was 4 hours.  During the layover in the Russian airport I was able to add a new item to our collection from around the world, a beautiful Russian Doll (posted in the picture above).

We were exhausted, but we finally made it!

Am I Really In Greece?
Are We Really In Greece?

Ever since I was a little girl, I dream of the day I would end up in Greece... here we are!

ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK

One Night In Bangkok
The Hangover II?

YES, we spent one night in Bangkok's spectacular city. After spending the day shopping in the markets and exploring the city during the day, we were able to see the city transform at night.

The city came to life!

Bangkok is know for its magnificent roof top bars, overlooking the entire city.  We were able to go bar hopping & spend time on several roof top bars. As you may have noticed in the pictures above, we did not use a normal taxi as a means of transformation for our bar hopping.  Instead we used a typical Bangkok taxi, a taxi scooter. The ride itself was a blast!

Our two favorite roof top bars were the Moon Bar and The Lebua Bar.  The city looked magical, as every light sparkled in the dark night sky.

For all you comedy movie lovers, the Hangover II took place here in Bangkok, Thailand. We went to the very hotel the crew stayed in and where several scenes of the movie were filmed, our personal favorite scene was the helicopter landing.  You may have noticed in the pictures above the exact steps and dome of the movie.  We had drinks on this roof top, known as The Lebua.  I felt glamorous, in such a radiant city full of lights!

The view was absolutely breath taking, making Bangkok's night scene one of our favorite views from our travels around the world.
