BULA FROM FIJI
(As the Fijians would say!)

WE FINALLY ARRIVED IN PARADISE...
FIJI

We arrived in FIJI just before sunset!

FIJI is another time change for us by two hours (18 hour time difference from Miami).

Landing in FIJI was magical, it actually felt like a movie. As we stepped off the plane we were greeted by the locals, with flowers in their hair, playing their guitars singing "BULA" !!!

In FIJI Bula, like the Hawaiian world Aloha, means hello!  The word literally means "life" and is most commonly used as a greeting.  When Anthony and I entered the resort we were played "Bula Malaya," an emphatic song of welcome that embodies the connotation of warmth and island hospitality!

We took a local taxi to the dock where we then got on a boat with our luggage to an island for the week, where we stayed in a beach bungalow!

When we arrived to the dock we were greeted with a welcome drink, a shell necklace, and the traditional song "Bula Malaya" mentioned above.

We made it just in time to enjoy a magnificent sunset in paradise together, admiring the beauty of FIJI.  We sat on the beach the rest of the night listening to beautiful sounds of the waves and asking each other how we made it here!  Here we sit with our toes in the sand of FIJI, on the other side of the world, in complete PARADISE together!

LIFE IS GOOD!

Enjoy the pictures & stay tuned for the rest of week in FIJI together!

Love,

Nicole & Anthony
