KURANDA RAINFOREST - THE ABORIGINAL EXPERIENCE

WITH THE ABORIGINALS OF AUSTRALIA

"ON THE ARMY DUCK THROUGH THE RAINFOREST"

"THE ARMY DUCK"

"BOOMERANG TIME"

"KANGAROOS!!!"

SHE GOT TO CHECK HOLDING A KOALA OFF HER BUCKET LIST

G'day Mates,

I write to you from Australia's Kuranda rain forest.

The picturesque mountain retreat of Kuranda Village is just 25km northwest of Cairns in Far North Queensland, Australia is surrounded by World Heritage Rainforest.

We got to see brilliant blue butterflies, native and exotic birds, some of the world's most venomous snakes, play with kangaroos and hold koalas (my mom got to check it off her bucket list)!

Not only did we have a blast playing with Kangaroos and holding adorable koalas but we went for a ride through the rain forest. We were able to experience the tropical rainforest from a totally unique perspective- aboard a World War II Army Duck.

We were also able to experience the true Aboriginal culture of Australia as we watched the natives dance, learned to throw boomerangs and appreciated their beautiful artwork!

ENJOY THE PICTURES & STAY TUNED

Cheers,

Nicole

  1. Kuranda seems as a fun Australian nature and cultural experience in one place.
-- Taking the Army Duck tour was probably exciting and educational since you got to appreciate the foliage and natural beauty of the rainforest.
--Feeding the kangaroos and holding a Koala bear, much fun for everyone!
--And of course the Aboriginal cultural entertainment and interaction made of this day a very unique and enjoyable event.

    A very pleasant experience all-around !

    Besitos,
    Baba
