Well, we were off to go wine tasting with New Zealands most famous tour!
The "Wine Boutique Service" picked us up and brought us back...a much needed designated driver after four vineyards! The Wine Boutique, a must do in New Zealand, took us to taste at 4 vineyards in the Gibbston, Cromwell and Bannockburn regions.
We enjoyed a platter style lunch at Carrick Winery restaurant (Smoked Salmon, Cheeses, Chutneys, Pate’s, Fresh baked Breads& Pesto’s, all made wher possible on the premises).
Along the way to the vineyards they took us to visit the historic Old Cromwell Town (enjoyed an ice cream), a drive through the Kawarau Gorge and historic Kawarau Bridge (which we will be Bungy jumping tomorrow....one of the most famous spots in the world).
Out of the four vineyards our favorite one was the Peregrine Vineyard, and of course we left with a bottle of their signature Pinot Nior. We learned that New Zealand holds the world's third ranking for Pinot Nior (a personal favorite of mine).
After a LONG day and FOUR vineyards... we enjoyed a local pub which was Anthony's favorite stop!
Tomorrow we will be crossing another item off our bucket list: Bungy Jumping!!!!
