AND WE ARE OFF AGAIN… TO HAMILTON!

The drive to Hamilton was about a hour, fairly quick compared to some of our longer drives! Once we arrived we decided to go to the famous Hamilton Garden. The Hamilton Garden is the most popular visitor attraction in the Waikato region. The garden was beautiful as they had many unique gardens: Chinese Scholars Garden; English Flower Garden; Japanese Garden of Contemplation; American Modernist Garden; Italian Renaissance Garden; Indian CharGarden; the Rogers Rose Garden; and the Victorian Flower Garden. Each garden was beautiful but unique, filled with plants and flower's that represent the culture in which they are found. I loved the Chinese Scholars Garden, and of course the Rogers Rose Garden!

After a long day we decided to go to a local pub to the watch the Australian team play Rugby! Hamilton Central, is located on the Waikato River and is quite vibrant as it has a vibrant stretch of pubs and restaurants… what a great spot to spend the night. Anthony's favorite part of the pub were the sayings that were on the beer pints. Enjoy the some of the sayings, posted above!

The best part of the night was that Australia won!

We are extremely excited as tomorrow will be one for the books! Once again we will be checking off yet another item on our bucket list. We will be doing a four hour cave diving in Waitomo to "The Lost World!"

STAY TUNED,

Nicole

  2. Beautiful place! Since I have a preference for flowers I've enjoyed very much all the different gardens you have visited in your Nemo's Great Adventure. I can not pin-point if the picture of Marilyn Monroe in the American Modernist Garden has been placed there for a specific reason.
The heart you carved on the tree came out really good. Very nice.

I love the quotes of the American authors on the beer glasses. Really funny!

The "barquillos" on the ice cream look exactly like the one I place on Abuelo's dessert (his sugar-free ice cream) every evening, but for me -- I wish I could have that Cappuccino right now.

    Besitos,
    Baba
