A Night Spent All Over Mykonos

The Wind Mills of Mykonos have become a favorite of ours, and tonight they were even more beautiful as the sun began to set.  The wind was blowing, the wind mills churning and the coloration of the sky changing.  The sun was setting right before our eyes.

As we looked out into the distance we could see Mykonos Little Venice.  Tonight was lively as local bands came out to play and couples danced in Greek fashion.  Although tonight we weren't going to eat again in Little Venice, we were going to eat in an even more traditional restaurant.   The taverna (restaurant) was off the beaten path, hidden away in the beautiful alley-ways of Mykonos.

The taverna called Marco Polo, is decorated traditionally and beautifully.  The setting was absolutely romantic.  We started by enjoying a house red wine and baked feta cheese!  This dinner was perfect from the food to the ambiance.  Tonight was a night like no other.  The conversations and memories made tonight, we will hold onto forever.

Just as we thought our stomachs could bear no more food, they did!  We had to try the famous homemade frozen Greek yogurt.  Wow, was it delicious!  After our stomachs were completely satisfied, we made our way to the Scandinavian Bar to dance this amazing night away.

A Night Like No Other,

Nicole & Anthony

  1. Everything looks charming - the lovely sea views including the distinctive view of the houses in the water, the enchanting wind mills, the picturesque neighborhood with shops selling clothing, linens, art, and gifts, the white streets and lanes, the breathtaking sunsets, and the fun and vibrant nightlife.

    Much love,
    Baba
