Wow - we were in for a surprise. While planning our travels, we have frequently read that Santorini, Greece has one of the world's best sunsets. Despite this knowledge, we were not expecting what we witnessed tonight - the sunset was stunning.
We made our way to Santorini's famous sunset spot - known as Franco's Bar. Franco’s Bar, is a famous spot on the island and is famed throughout the world. It is indeed the one and only all time classic cocktail bar which made classical music the indispensable soundtrack for caldera bar life. Opera music is always played in the background and its setting is the ideal choice to enjoy the magical sunset on the comfortable lounge chairs that are turned to face the caldera. We were told it is a definite must no matter where you stay on the island & this is true (we highly recommend this great sunset spot)!
The changing colors of the sunset were beautiful, romantic and peaceful. The sunset of Santorini has been our favorite sunset among the various places we have visited around the world.
