The Aroma From The Kitchen
Paros, Greece
Tonight we made our way to another traditional Greek Taverna, known as Aroma. Aroma was wonderfully decorated, once again making us feel right at home. The taverna was covered in vines, flowers and traditional Greek decor. The staff was extremely friendly, making our dinner special and personal (the warm welcome from the Greeks has been seen on each island).
We started with homemade red wine and feta cheese, our go-to Greek starter. We then enjoyed delicious seafood - calamari (sea food is a Greek specialty on the island of Paros). Wow, was the calamari good! To finish, we had homemade Greek caramelo ice-cream … YUM!
We certainly have been spoiled - being able to try all these new foods during our month in Greece have been absolutely delicious!
Our favorite part of the night, one that made us laugh for the rest of the night was when we spilled our wine (shattering the glasses) and everyone screamed 'OPA' & made us get up to dance. Shattering our glasses was quite the celebration … OPA!
