MOTHER TEMPLE BALI, INDONESIA

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure.  There is no end to the adventures we can have only if we seek them with our eyes open.

Enjoy The Rice Patty Fields & Terraces and The Mother Temple!

Welcome To The Mother Temple

The Mother Temple of Besakih, or Pura Besakih, in the village of Besakih on the slopes of Mount Agung, in eastern Bali, Indonesia, is the most important, the largest an holiest temple of Hindu religion in Bali (one of the series of Balinese temples).

Putu, our driver (mentioned in the previous blogs), took us to our third temple of the day. This was no ordinary temple, as it was a two hour car drive and located at the top of a mountain. To be more specific, this sacred temple is also known as The Mother Temple of Besakih and was beautifully built on the lake of Mount Agung (in eastern Bali).

This temple was simply peaceful, bringing us instant joy. The moment we stepped onto the temple grounds we were welcomed by the beauty of nature, from the luscious green gardens to the sparkling waters of the lake (the main temple was built in the middle of the lake). This encounter at the temple enabled us find inner strength, relax on the temple grounds and present our offerings (consisting of incense and flowers).

We prayed for strength, happiness, family and friends. May we always know who were are as individuals and as soul mates. Life is too precious to not find peace and happiness, we definitely have learned this!

Each minute in Bali has brought us peace, as Anthony loves to say 'you look like a new person.' YES, I feel new, rejuvenated and at peace! I love every aspect of my life. I am the luckiest girl in the world, this I know!

We strive to live each day in peace and tranquility.

Life IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL

  1. Great pictures of a pretty and quite different landscape and architecture.
Of course the differences found in the oriental culture and beliefs have always been a very appealing attraction to the tourist.

    Peace and Love!

    Blessings,
    Baba
