THAILAND'S TRADITIONAL LONG-BOAT

From The Long Boat

We were able to ride Thailand's unique long-tail boats today, in the incredibly beautiful Phi Phi Islands!

The long-tail boat, known as Ruea Hang Yao (เรือหางยาว) in the Thai language, is a type of watercraft native to Southeast Asia. This unique Asian watercraft uses a common automotive engine, and is designed to carry passengers through the ocean/river.

Luckily we were able to experience a this traditional Thai boat ride through the crystal and turquoise waters of Thailand in Bamboo Island (an island off the Phi Phi chain). The warmth of the sun radiating onto our skin, the blue skies above and taste the salty ocean wind made our ride through Thailand magical. This afternoon was simply perfect.

Enjoy the pictures, as this was another check off our bucket list!
